CALCULATION TO REDUCE LITRE WEIGHT
CURRENT LITRE WEIGHT  MINUS AIM LITRE WEIGHT = (A)
AIM LITRE WEIGHT MINUS 1000 = (B)
DIVIDE (A ) BY (B) = (C)
MULTIPLY (C) BY THE NUMBER OF LITRES OF SLIP THE BATCH SHOULD MAKE (8 BAGS X 20 LITRES) AND THIS WILL GIVE YOU THE NUMBER OF LITRES OF WATER  TO ADD TO THE BATCH.
EXAMPLE
CURRENT LITRE WEIGHT OF 1740 MINUS AIM LITRE WEIGHT OF 1725 = 25
AIM LITRE WEIGHT OF 1725 MINUS 1000 = 725
DIVIDE 25 BY 725 AND MULTIPLY BY 160 (TOTAL LITRES OF SLIP) = 3.3 LITRES OF WATER TO CORRECT LITRE WEIGHT.
IN AREAS OF HARD WATER ( WHERE IT IS DIFFICULT TO GET SOAP OR SHAMPOO TO LATHER) THE CONTENT OF SOLUBLE SALTS IS HIGHER THAN IN MELBOURNE WHERE THE RECIPE HAS BEEN PROVEN. THE ADDITION OF 25 GMS OF BARIUM CARBONATE PER 25 KG BAG  WILL RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. NO BENEFIT WILL RESULT FORM THIS ADDITION IF THE WATER QUALITY IS NOT AN ISSUE.
