Walker Ceramics have developed a range of Raku base glazes.
Recipes
for other colours which can be mixed with either our Clear (EA1) or Opaque
(EA3)
base glazes are available. The colours of Raku glazes may vary according to the firing method
used. The recommended firing range is 980 - 1000°C.
The two base glazes provide the potter with the
opportunity to experiment with their own colour creation. A wide scope of colour
variance can be obtained depending on the firing method. The delight of opening
the kiln to discover the end result is enhanced when using the Raku bodies and
glazes.
